Midi4Fun

The first thing you need to know about Midi4Fun is that it is meant for anyone who has a Casio Musical Keyboard. The next thing you need to know is that Midi4Fun converts MIDI files(.mid) and karaoke songs (.kar) to a format the keyboard supports – the Casio MIDI SMF format. With the song converted, you can use it with your Casio Musical Keyboard to learn to play piano.

The Midi4Fun installer is 42.4MB in size. Download this file, run it, click through the setup wizard, and moments later you will have Midi4Fun installed on your Windows-powered machine (Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000 are supported). Please note that the setup wizard is not in English; the interface is in English though.

The interface features a File Menu in the upper left hand side – from said menu you can initiate the conversion process by simply clicking on “Convert midi/karaoke to Casio format.”

The conversion is a 4-step process that goes along something like this:
Step 1 – select the file you want to convert. You can select any .mid or .kar you want.
Step 2 – assign channel(s) to hands.
Step 3 – divide the song into phrases using positions.
Step 4 – choose where the converted file will be stored and pick a name for the converted file.

Go through these 4 steps and Midi4Fun will quickly convert the file you selected. Please note that the demo version of Midi4Fun will convert only a part of the source file. To get rid of this limitation, you need to get a license.
